This wall lizard is comfortably sitting at the front of a beehive not bothered about the bees going back and forth nearby:
The bees share a field which is managed to help the rare Marsh Fritillary butterfly whose larvae only feed on Devil's Bit Scabious. This photo shows a typical patch of these flowers mixed with some Heather :
Over the 5 years that I've been at this site the number of flowers are increasing so grazing regime seems be working.
